Maureen’s blue chip company background and experience of running her own successful business provided the basis for a career in hands-on business support. Over the past nineteen years she has been assisting SMEs in various capacities, enabling them to change, progress and develop in order to maximise their full business potential.

As a generalist, she has been involved with a vast range of different types of business. The time spent with clients has varied accordingly from months to years depending on their needs.

The majority of Maureen’s experience is within the 6 to 60 employees business sector. Her business skills are extremely broad and include all aspects of business planning and financial management; people management including recruitment planning, interviewing and selection, training, appraisal, assessment; business and people progression monitoring and evaluation including management systems and procedures assessment, development and implementation; marketing; health and safety.

In addition, Maureen has extensive retail experience and knowledge. She is particularly skilled in all aspects of stock management and control; shrinkage; layout and display.

As a Member & Fellow of the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC), formerly Institute of Business Advisers (IBA) and having been IBA Vice-chairman and Chair of Professional Development, Maureen believes in the importance of ethical and professional conduct. She has always worked within the IBC’s strict code of practice providing totally impartial and confidential advice and maintaining competence through on-going CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
